Our STORY
BIRENE EVENTS is the beautiful result of a friendship that blossomed into a powerful sisterhood.
Our journey began with life transitions that brought us, Bisi from the USA, a physician, and Irene from Angola, an engineer and successful musician, to Cape Town, South Africa. Both of us left behind six-figure jobs to start anew, supported by our wonderful spouses.
Though we faced challenges and initially felt out of place, we each launched our own businesses in our new environment. Fate brought us together, and we quickly discovered that we were always involved in each other's ventures—Bisi often took on roles like event coordinator, photographer, and videographer for Irene's events, and Irene provided the same support for Bisi.
After what we both called a "Life AH AH moment," we realized that it was time to stop looking back and start moving forward. Together, we embraced our new lives, creating BIRENE EVENTS—a company born from our shared passion for making people happy and our newfound sisterhood.
